                Our Gift Shop

Our gift shop is a spacious log cabin, blending perfectly into the natural surroundings located on our grounds. Come sit on our 52ft. long porch and kick back in our rocking chairs handmade locally. Even on the hottest summer days, the cool cave air keeps the ground temperatures comfortable and refreshing. Our gift shop offers a vast array of gifts and unique items. You're bound to find something that will please you and gifts are priced for the family. You will find on the face book some of the items in our shop with the pricing, but this is just a hint of what we have.

While browsing the gift shop, make sure you check out our display of various Civil War artifacts from the cave and also donated items, plus a partial casting of the Megalonyx jeffersoni, the giant sloth discovered in the late 1700s by nitre workers and studied by Thomas Jefferson himself.  We have arrow heads found in and around the cave, plus crinoids, coral from the sea, gypsum, aragonite, soda straws, volcanic glass plus other minerals too numerious to mention but you will certainly want to see. Our latest find was a human finger and the elbow of a black bear, found 2012 by an employee on an extended exploring expedition.  We now have the shark fin spin picture on display for you to see also.

We are still finding things in and around the cave in and on the grounds. All these things are put on display in the gift shop. We have numerious other things to display, but do not have the room. We are working on building a museum based on Creation to house all these things plus get a lot of the things taken from here years ago back so everyone can see them.

So if you love history, geology, or just looking for the perfect gift, our gift shop is bound to have something that will suit your taste. Stop in for a chat, rest your body, have an ice cream and enjoy your visit.  Our winter hours coincide with our winter tour hours or call and set up an appointment to shop because starting the 1st of November, all tours and shopping are done by reservation until the first of April. From April 1st on, we are open daily except on Sundays. Our showcase is changing all the time with new finds in the cave. Below are some of the finds from the cave and area.

Also shown here are bones of a human finger found 2012 and possible human skull, date not recorded. See if you can locate them.
